CME Group reached a record high in single-day volume with 44,516,949 contracts traded across all asset classes on Nov. 9, 2016, breaking the previous record of 39,567,064 contracts set on Oct. 15, 2014.
Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 161,000 in October, and the unemployment rate was little changed at 4.9%, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Employment continued to trend up in health care, professional and business services, and financial activities.
The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) filed a civil enforcement action in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York against Forex Capital Markets LLC (FXCM), charging FXCM with undercapitalization, failure to timely report its undercapitalization violation, and guaranteeing against customer losses. FXCM, with headquarters in New York, New York, is registered with the CFTC as a Retail Foreign Exchange Dealer (RFED).
